3. Confirm the flight, carrier and arrival

The passenger booking does not confirm pet acceptance.Check carrier dimensions and preparationMeasure the animal and carrier, weigh them together and compare with the airline’s accepted conditions. Prepare ventilation, secure closure, absorbent lining and gradual familiarisation.Plan the checks and onward transferIdentify the member state and first authorised EU entry point. For dogs going to Finland, Ireland or Malta, check the specific Echinococcus treatment; it is not a general requirement for every EU country.
