Ask your vet and the DDPP/DDETSPP responsible for your address about the certificate, official endorsement and appointment. Spanish CEXGAN processing does not apply to a French departure.

Answers to common questions about documents, preparation and accompanied travel.
Official CVI using the Portaria MAPA 741/2024 model, mandatory since September 2025. An EU passport alone is not assumed sufficient.
Current rabies vaccination for animals aged 90 days or more; allow 21 days after primary vaccination before departure. Confirm exceptions with the authority. Internal and external parasite treatment within 15 days before CVI issue, with product and date recorded. Clinical examination within ten days before CVI issue. The 60-day entry validity requires current vaccination and does not replace preparation or EU-return deadlines.
For this non-exempt origin, check a result of at least 0.5 IU/ml from an EU-designated laboratory: sampling at least 30 days after primary vaccination and 90 days before certificate issue. Check the possible re-entry exception for a documented test before leaving the EU and continuous vaccination. Open the reverse route Brazil → France and review its conditions separately. Do not assume that the outbound permit or certificate covers the return.
