Panama → Germany: travel preparation checklist

1. Map out the journey and the companion

MINSA’s statement that it requests no separate departure paperwork does not remove MIDA formalities or EU conditions.Schedule appointments in the right orderFor this non-exempt origin, check a result of at least 0.5 IU/ml from an EU-designated laboratory: sampling at least 30 days after primary vaccination and 90 days before certificate issue. Check the possible re-entry exception for a documented test before leaving the EU and continuous vaccination. If an official EU certificate is needed, schedule issue within ten days of entry checks. A return passport must demonstrate the applicable conditions; it does not automatically replace certification for a first entry.

3. Confirm the flight, carrier and arrival

Prepare ventilation, secure closure, absorbent lining and gradual familiarisation.Plan the checks and onward transferIdentify the authorised German entry point and declare the animal to customs. Review breed restrictions and rules in the destination Land; entry through another member state first must be checked separately.
